 Job Description

A bookkeeper doing some reconciliation work.
Tasks
  • Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with VAT returns and tax filings in compliance with regulations.
  • Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger and journal entries.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense claims in a timely manner.
  • Support payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Ensure financial data is up to date and organised for audits and reporting.
  • Stay informed about accounting best practices and industry updates.
Qualifications
  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Familiarity with VAT returns, reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to work remotely.
